Andrézinho Prado started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Cururupe got a freekick which was hit by Lino Araújo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Queirós in the 9th minute of play forced Cururupe's goalkeeper Ernesto de Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cururupe getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lino Araújo hit a great ball. The supporters of Máquina Mortífera S.C booed when Cururupe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evandro Cunha in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto de Castro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Evandro Cunha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Ernesto de Castro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cleiton Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrézinho Prado went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 35 minutes into the match, Máquina Mortífera S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Andrézinho Prado came free, but Cleiton Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evandro Cunha took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ernesto de Castro. Ernesto de Castro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 41stth minute of the game Evandro Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cururupe's Ernesto de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Máquina Mortífera S.C's Valdomiro Monteiro suffered a sore knee after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 42 minutes into the game, Lino Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cururupe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Máquina Mortífera S.C the free kick. In the 44th minute, Lino Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Cunha in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ernesto de Castro came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Máquina Mortífera S.C's Evandro Cunha. But to his dismay, Evandro Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 62 played minutes Cururupe got a freekick which was hit by Sydney de Sousa. Cururupe's Ernesto de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Cunha in the 68th minute of play. Ernesto de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 79 minutes of play, Máquina Mortífera S.C's Claudinho Queirós made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto de Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82ndth minute of the game Evandro Cunha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cururupe's Ernesto de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernesto de Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro Cunha in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Evandro Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cururupe's Ernesto de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evandro Cunha in the 89th minute of play. In the 93rd minute Evandro Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
