When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arthur Faria made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Batelao's Jailson Gomes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Xavier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gildo Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Luizinho Queirós made a huge save. Batelao's Luizinho Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Faria in the 62nd minute of play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Upanema AD's goalkeeper Cléber Xavier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cléber Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Trancoso in the 98th minute of play. Batelao's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
