Spectators: 5010 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 10) 5 minutes into the match, Rudado's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson Gomes came free, but Reinaldo da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frédson Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 12 minutes into the game, when Adelino Carioca put in a rough tackle. A hard shot 23 in the game by Fernandinho Arruda from a close distance when the talented Reinaldo da Fonseca managed to make a qualified save. Rudado's players were relieved. Frédson Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Luizinho Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 27 minutes, Tiago Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rudado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tiago Catarinense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiago Catarinense in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luizinho Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 played minutes Batelao got a freekick which was hit by Marcinho Romero. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fernandinho Arruda was the one to do the kick off. Luizinho Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Fabrício Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Batelao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frédson Donato fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Enéas de Queiroz hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Arruda notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rudado's Reinaldo da Fonseca. Reinaldo da Fonseca was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 70th match minute, Batelao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Frédson Donato came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luizinho Queirós could save by the left post. In the 78th minute of the match, Frédson Donato got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luizinho Queirós was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Fabrício Trancoso fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Batelao's protests and gave Fabrício Trancoso a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Batelao's Fabrício Trancoso got a free kick in the 80th minute. Batelao's Luizinho Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Batelao from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Rudado's Frédson Donato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luizinho Queirós. That made the score 1-2 after 83 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Fernandinho Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batelao's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernandinho Arruda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinaldo da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frédson Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luizinho Queirós having to interfere. Rudado played a much better game than Batelao and deserved their victory. The Batelao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
