The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yan Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitório da Silva in the 3rd minute of the match. Dorival de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 10th minute, Olívio Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes, Paraty F.C.'s Romeu Madureira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yan Mendonça came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paraty F.C. reached it. Silas Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Poolzão FC's Yan Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Poolzão FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Paraty F.C. booed when Poolzão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraty F.C.'s Romeu Madureira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Poolzão FC. Yan Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Paulo Meirelles in the 31st minute. After 33 played minutes Poolzão FC got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Dantas. Vitório da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Paraty F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitório da Silva to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Paraty F.C.'s zone, Emílio Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival de Barros came out of the goal and Emílio Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Amaral in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorival de Barros saved Paraty F.C. from getting behind. Emílio Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Poolzão FC's Emanuel Machado in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Emílio Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poolzão FC's protests and gave Emílio Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. Emílio Amaral hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 79 played minutes Paraty F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Oséias da Fonseca. Yan Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório da Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Vitório da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Paraty F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Poolzão FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
