The audience thought a goal was coming when Davi Duarte got free with Amílton Schmidt in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Bernardo Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Beloslav Kotzakov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Túlio Bertassi in the 29th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Democracia Socialista defense, Bernardo Penha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beloslav Kotzakov. The Democracia Socialista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beloslav Kotzakov should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Caiapo played a much better game than Democracia Socialista and deserved their victory. The Democracia Socialista players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
