Talleres de Cba. booed when Nacimiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ariel Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Rolando Bihar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clodoveo Gaizko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacimiento. In the 24th match minute, C.A. Talleres de Cba. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Playo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 28 minutes, Joaquin Rufo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.A. Talleres de Cba.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Rufo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Rufo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernardino Berasko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Clodoveo Gaizko made a huge save. Ramon Balendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Delmar Remigio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquin Rufo to make the kick off. Clodoveo Gaizko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Dabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The supporters of C.A. Talleres de Cba. booed when Nacimiento was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobald Balkiewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nacimiento fans cheered their team off the field, for while C.A. Talleres de Cba. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
