Tomas Matxin's late challenge caught a RUTA 40's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Matxin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th minute there was a penalty for RUTA 40. Romeo Abascal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evelio Clis. 1-2. The Batel players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RUTA 40 were winning 1-2.
