Ignacio Lastur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Nofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Leonides Santiago, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ignacio Lastur was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 38 minutes of play, C.A. BANFIELD's Serafino Viator made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ignacio Lastur was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 41st minute, Rosendo Francho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A. BANFIELD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 45th minute Rosendo Francho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosendo Francho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind BARRILETE COSMICO's goalkeeper Ignacio Lastur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. C.A. BANFIELD's Ariel Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Piarres in the 55th minute of play. Ignacio Lastur made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Evelio Perrando sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to BARRILETE COSMICO getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Geronimo Lon hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, C.A. BANFIELD's Ignacio Lastur threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafino Viator, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rosendo Francho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ignacio Lastur made a huge save. C.A. BANFIELD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rosendo Francho in the 64th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of BARRILETE COSMICO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.A. BANFIELD:s goal. When the match had been going on for 66 minutes, C.A. BANFIELD's Rosendo Francho got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ignacio Lastur. If Serafino Viator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th match minute, BARRILETE COSMICO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Paz to maneuver through the defense. Natalio Sotero hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ignacio Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Santiago in the 92nd minute of play. In the 99th match minute, BARRILETE COSMICO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Frisco to maneuver through the defense. The BARRILETE COSMICO fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. C.A. BANFIELD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
