Martin Quin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Loren, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Frederico Félix was a little too slow when Ricardo Laffitte got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. Frederico Félix made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Ricardo Laffitte sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th minute, Kongo Kinshasa Star's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ricardo Laffitte fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Frederico Félix was a little too slow when Reynaldo Arixo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Hodei to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Valentin Castulo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the All Black FC and the Kongo Kinshasa Star players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gervasio Ikatz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martin Quin firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 65th minute Herminio Hodei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Quin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All Black FC's Martin Quin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save All Black FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Loren got free with Martin Quin in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
