Paulino Telesforo started the match with the kick off. Rolando Mendiko kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Gabriel Batistuta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Monte having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Omar Tome mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Millonarios Stone A. C. and the El rojo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Millonarios Stone A. C. getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Omar Tome hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Millonarios Stone A. C.'s zone, Gabriel Batistuta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulises Monte came out of the goal and Gabriel Batistuta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 14 minutes into the game, El rojo's Konstantin Havasi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Monte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Paulino Telesforo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of El rojo's Roberto Lonzo. Roberto Lonzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as El rojo's Gabriel Batistuta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulises Monte. That made the score 2-1 after 22 minutes of play. Gualterio Sedeni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulises Monte having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulino Telesforo during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Gualterio Sedeni came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the El rojo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gualterio Sedeni couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualterio Sedeni during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Millonarios Stone A. C. booed when El rojo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualterio Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Lonzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Frisco went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 38th minute, Benigno Frisco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Millonarios Stone A. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Roberto Lonzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Mendiko, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Gualterio Sedeni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ulises Monte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulises Monte made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gualterio Sedeni in the 47th minute. Rolando Mendiko hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, El rojo's Konstantin Havasi got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Ulises Monte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute El rojo were awarded a corner. Desiderio Ruy went to the cornerflag to take it. 59 minutes into the match, El rojo's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Telesforo came free, but Roberto Lonzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabriel Batistuta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Ulises Monte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Millonarios Stone A. C. got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Telesforo. 69 minutes into the match, Millonarios Stone A. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Konstantin Havasi came free, but Ulises Monte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Rodrigo Alvarez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Guillermo Tolino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Millonarios Stone A. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Tolino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Lonzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Mendiko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Roberto Lonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 87 played minutes Millonarios Stone A. C. got a freekick which was hit by Omar Tome. C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
