Guido Tallia lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ramos Mejía FC! The referee gave La Guardia Imperial a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Epifanio Modestio, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ramos Mejía FC's Augustin Agulescu. 1-0. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Ermegildo Isadore put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aaron Olayo. La Guardia Imperial's Aaron Olayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Isadore in the 16th minute of play. La Guardia Imperial's Bonifacio Isauro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Epifanio Modestio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augustin Agulescu having to interfere. Edgard Suarez struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Augustin Agulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Guardia Imperial. Aaron Olayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermegildo Isadore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, La Guardia Imperial was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Selmo to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Ramos Mejía FC's Apolo Gregory sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Olayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgard Suarez in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Augustin Agulescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gaston Chus hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Isadore in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Olayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Justo Bibiano struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Aaron Olayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ramos Mejía FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Suarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, La Guardia Imperial's Edgard Suarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augustin Agulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Augustin Agulescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Modestio in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute Ermegildo Isadore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Olayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in La Guardia Imperial's zone, Justo Bibiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Olayo came out of the goal and Justo Bibiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augustin Agulescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Isauro went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute, Ramiro Selmo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Augustin Agulescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. A collision led to Ramos Mejía FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ermegildo Isadore hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ramos Mejía FC's zone, Elpidio Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augustin Agulescu came out of the goal and Elpidio Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match Ermegildo Isadore climbed in front of goal and pressed up 5-2 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Aaron Olayo. Justo Bibiano in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aaron Olayo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lázaro Azeari struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Augustin Agulescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Guardia Imperial. Ubaldo Damario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Edgard Suarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Guardia Imperial's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgard Suarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augustin Agulescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. La Guardia Imperial's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
