Israel Boniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Progresso FC's Israel Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Chico in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Los Tres Leones FC booed when Progresso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hipolito Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiliano Larpe was the one to do the kick off. Lorenzo Ralondo came free in the 94th minute and tried to tip the ball over Nemesio Peru, but to the joy of Los Tres Leones FC's supporters the ball went over. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded.
