Enzo Poncio hit a great ball. Pastor Chorache might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Peter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pastor Chorache ran back to his position shaking his head. Pastor Chorache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cristobal Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Escalares AC booed when C. A. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Fe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Escalares AC's Placido Cortez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cristobal Peter. Cristobal Peter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. River Plate's goalkeeper Cristobal Peter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Placido Cortez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristobal Peter. The goal made the score 2-0. 37 minutes into the match, C. A. River Plate's goalkeeper Cristobal Peter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pastor Chorache.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Baumar was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. River Plate's zone, Pastor Chorache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristobal Peter came out of the goal and Pastor Chorache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the game, Pastor Chorache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Cristobal Peter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anacleto Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, C. A. River Plate's Enzo Poncio got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Pastor Chorache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Cristobal Peter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godofredo Arnalt charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godofredo Arnalt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With his leg Jaime Salbatore managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when C. A. River Plate's Rolando Baumar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cristobal Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Placido Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andres Kismi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Escalares AC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
