The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Firman in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to Club Recreativo San Jorge getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ernesto Cugat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Marcos Maureo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elias Firman struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Marcos Maureo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xeneizes del Oeste. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Cugat got free with Marcos Maureo in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mario Llorian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Berto, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Marcos Maureo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elias Firman's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Elias Firman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Maureo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. If Filomeno Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Virgilio Berto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mario Llorian having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Xeneizes del Oeste's zone, Virgilio Berto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mario Llorian came out of the goal and Virgilio Berto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the game, Virgilio Berto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mario Llorian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elias Firman to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Filomeno Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Recreativo San Jorge's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Ourente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mario Llorian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mario Llorian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filomeno Ourente in the 54th minute of the match. Club Recreativo San Jorge's Marcos Maureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Cugat in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Club Recreativo San Jorge's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Firman came free, but Marcos Maureo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mateo Chorache charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateo Chorache the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th match minute, Club Recreativo San Jorge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Chorache to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Club Recreativo San Jorge eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
