After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Apolo Kauldi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quijana AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Kauldi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidio Fernandes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Quijana AFC's Celedonio Silvino got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Apolo Kauldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th play minute Apolo Kauldi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ovidio Fernandes. 1-0. Alonzo Orain struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Ovidio Fernandes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quijana AFC. If Celedonio Silvino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ovidio Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Apolo Kauldi sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Godfredo Esiquio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Efraim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidio Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Silvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Feliciano Cibran fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quijana AFC's protests and gave Feliciano Cibran a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Quijana AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Soto FC:s goal. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Soto FC. Claudio Barrionuevo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Adolfo Efraim. 1-1. 41 minutes into the match, Celedonio Silvino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ovidio Fernandes, 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Celedonio Silvino made the kick off in the second half. Soto FC's Ovidio Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Silvino in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute of the match Soto FC got a corner. Quijana AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Barrionuevo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Soto FC's Fidel Gauargi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adolfo Efraim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Apolo Kauldi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidio Fernandes having to make a save. Soto FC's Ovidio Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Silvino in the 60th minute of play. Apolo Kauldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Godfredo Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Soto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Esiquio couldn't finish the play. Fidel Gauargi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Efraim having to interfere. Adolfo Efraim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Esiquio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celedonio Silvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Fernandes having to interfere. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Quijana AFC's goalkeeper Adolfo Efraim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Celedonio Silvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ovidio Fernandes having to interfere. Apolo Kauldi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ovidio Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Celedonio Silvino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Soto FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Quijana AFC.
