When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Vicente Abeitia sped through Morrillo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Teo Marcones. Kapelist FC's Christian Urbasa suffered a concussion after 10 minutes and had to leave the field. When Tobias Rozarius fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morrillo's protests and gave Tobias Rozarius a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kapelist FC booed when Morrillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Rozarius didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Morrillo's goalkeeper Teo Marcones had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vicente Abeitia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Txomin in the 15th minute of play forced Kapelist FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 played minutes Kapelist FC got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Fliz. In the 18th match minute, Kapelist FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generoso Fliz to maneuver through the defense. Teo Marcones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Aires in the 21st minute of the match. If Geronimo Cordeara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Kapelist FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Cordeara came free, but Robustiano Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Morrillo booed when Kapelist FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Hondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vicente Abeitia to strike the kick off in the second half. Vicente Abeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Teo Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Morrillo's Teo Marcones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Abeitia in the 60th minute of play. Teo Marcones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Abeitia in the 62nd minute of the match. Teo Marcones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Abeitia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Vicente Abeitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kapelist FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Abeitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teo Marcones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 67th minute, Vicente Abeitia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 69 minutes into the match, Hilario Txomin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kapelist FC's Robustiano Shepherd. Robustiano Shepherd was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Kapelist FC's Robustiano Shepherd got control of the ball when Hilario Txomin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 played minutes Morrillo got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Txomin. Vicente Abeitia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 89th minute, Geronimo Cordeara fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Robustiano Shepherd, passed just outside the right post. After 92 minutes of play, Morrillo's Hilario Txomin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robustiano Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teo Marcones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Abeitia in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Kapelist FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
