After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Marcelino Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot. JPZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelino Eder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Argenis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celestino Txindoki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Argenis having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Celestino Txindoki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Argenis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fakas FC.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Francho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute Alfredo Iraitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Senen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alfredo Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Severiano Urtsua charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The JPZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christian Senen should have stopped the shot. If Alfredo Iraitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Alfredo Iraitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Inocencio Francho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
