A very good chance for a goal. Edgard Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Miliano in the 16th minute of play. If Erasmo Miliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Erasmo Miliano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edgard Oliverio. Leon Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Edgard Oliverio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Miliano hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ifrán AFC defense, Leon Goyo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edgard Oliverio. The Ifrán AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edgard Oliverio should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Ifrán AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Miliano came free, but Edgard Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Leon Goyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The wind increased when Erasmo Miliano made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Leon Goyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Goyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Kepa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Oliverio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Miliano, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erasmo Miliano in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgard Oliverio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ifrán AFC's goalkeeper Edgard Oliverio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Leon Goyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Miliano in the 92nd minute of play forced Ifrán AFC's goalkeeper Edgard Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. River Plate had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
