When Aureliano Todor came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Zárate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Todor couldn't finish the play. After 18 played minutes Zárate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Segundo Balendin. 22 minutes into the match Luisito Baumar climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Arsenio Checa. Gilberto Bihar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Opilano in the 28th minute of the match. Nereo Gorosti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Checa having to interfere. Gilberto Bihar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Todor, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Todor in the 39th minute of play forced Vampires Soccer Club's goalkeeper Gilberto Bihar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Marcos Opilano made the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Bihar made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Aureliano Todor sent off a good shot on target. Nereo Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Arsenio Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureliano Todor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Ignacio Ourente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 70 played minutes, Zárate AFC's Arnulfo Abadie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilberto Bihar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
