In the 3rd minute, Vladimiro Opilano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herminio Lehoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Sanson in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute Elpidio Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Lehoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimiro Opilano hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Opilano in the 12th minute of play forced C. A. Ituzaingo's goalkeeper Aldo Nardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herminio Lehoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Columbo in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, C. A. Ituzaingo's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Garcia came free, but Aldo Nardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 33 played minutes C. A. Ituzaingo got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Endura. Nicolas Irrintzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Nardo having to interfere. Feliberto Ted hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Ituzaingo's Aldo Nardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Nuno in the 39th minute of play. If Celso Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aldo Nardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Nuno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute Celso Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Nardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
If Celso Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute of the match, Everardo Hanni tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aldo Nardo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vladimiro Opilano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Aldo Nardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vladimiro Opilano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aldo Nardo. That made the score 0-1 in the 57 minute of play. After 62 played minutes Saraza got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Elija. Aldo Nardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Irrintzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the game, Celso Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saraza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave C. A. Ituzaingo the free kick. In the 69th minute, Celso Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ezequiel Nuno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Nicolas Irrintzi fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aldo Nardo, passed just outside the right post. Roman Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roman Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aldo Nardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Irrintzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
