Adolfo Xabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edgardo Eron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Montae to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Mauricio Polentzi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgardo Eron. That made the score 3-2 in the 52 minute of play. A collision led to Perú getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Leonides Berbiz hit a great ball. Edgardo Eron was a little too slow when Arnaldo Montae got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 3-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Perú's Adolfo Xabel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edgardo Eron. That made the score 3-4 after 60 minutes of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnaldo Montae in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgardo Eron saved excursio fc from getting behind. Omar Emeterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Eron having to interfere. With a little luck, excursio fc's Edgardo Eron got control of the ball when Mauricio Polentzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind excursio fc's goalkeeper Edgardo Eron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Orlando Tabby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Adolfo Xabel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. excursio fc's Edgardo Eron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save excursio fc from getting a goal against them. Perú's Orlando Tabby got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Orlando Tabby recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Guifre charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Guifre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, excursio fc's Diego Guifre got a free kick in the 91st minute. Edgardo Eron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Montae in the 93rd minute of play. Mauricio Polentzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Edgardo Eron made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Xabel in the 96th minute of play forced excursio fc's goalkeeper Edgardo Eron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perú played a much better game than excursio fc and deserved their victory. The excursio fc players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
