After some careless play in the Gondra AFC defense, Herminio Jakue kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Van Eycke. The Gondra AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Van Eycke should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, Lino Orland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Van Eycke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Dino in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Gondra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Dino came free, but Arnout Van Eycke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Anibal Dino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Leones De Ameghino's supporters rose to their feet, but Anibal Dino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Van Eycke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th match minute, Gondra AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lolo Mondejar to maneuver through the defense. Anibal Dino struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Arnout Van Eycke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Leones De Ameghino. Arnout Van Eycke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anibal Dino in the 39th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herminio Jakue to make the kick off. If Narciso Bieito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Anibal Dino took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Arnout Van Eycke to make any attempt to save it. Arnout Van Eycke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herminio Jakue showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Moisés Urzúa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herminio Jakue sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Los Leones De Ameghino's Herminio Jakue ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Van Eycke. Arnout Van Eycke yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Honorio Gonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gondra AFC's Narciso Bieito got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Los Leones De Ameghino getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Benigno Vermudo hit a great ball. Narciso Bieito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Radomil Nieuzyla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. A hard shot 96 in the game by Anibal Dino from a close distance when the talented Arnout Van Eycke managed to make a qualified save. Gondra AFC's players were relieved. The Gondra AFC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Los Leones De Ameghino to win.
