Spectators: 6683 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Fabio Frisco managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Plate's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Frisco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro Lando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cayetano Eneto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Froilan Ekain in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, River Plate's Fabio Frisco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro Lando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of River Plate:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ASCE FC:s goal. In the 18th match minute, River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmacio Mattin to maneuver through the defense. 23 minutes into the game, Fabio Frisco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ramiro Lando. Fabio Frisco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 27th minute, Alberto Mirande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bruno Padro fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Bruno Padro a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Padro. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Fabio Frisco made the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Lando came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate's Fabio Frisco. But to his dismay, Fabio Frisco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. River Plate's Cayetano Eneto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save River Plate from getting a goal against them. In the 67th minute, ASCE FC's Alberto Mirande ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cayetano Eneto. Cayetano Eneto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Mirande in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Eneto saved River Plate from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Cayetano Eneto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 74 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Ekhi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro Lando. ASCE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Ekhi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-4. 78 minutes into the match, ASCE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Frisco came free, but Ramiro Lando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabio Frisco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Dalmacio Mattin hit a great ball. Remigio Roldanillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Ekhi took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Lando. Ramiro Lando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-4. After 94 minutes ASCE FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Osvaldo Ekhi who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Jose Fonso got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 7-4. 94 minutes into the match. River Plate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
