Mauro Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Millán 's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vicente Nel was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atletico Los Alerces's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Victor Rainerio heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Vicente Nel went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atletico Los Alerces's Vicente Nel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Carmelo Acevedo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Atletico Los Alerces's Victor Rainerio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carmelo Acevedo. That made the score 2-0 after 43 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dalmacio Mogel made a kick off. The supporters of Club Atletico Los Alerces booed when Millán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justo Urritz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 55 played minutes Millán got a freekick which was hit by Justo Urritz. Millán 's Carmelo Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Nel in the 56th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Club Atletico Los Alerces players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
