Nicasio Pacorro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Gomez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Ignacio Cuartio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorento FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Cuartio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Pacorro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Esperanza Maritima's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Gomez came free, but Nicasio Pacorro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Bladi in the 32nd minute of play forced Esperanza Maritima's goalkeeper Nicasio Pacorro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Gomez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Evelio Gomez made the kick off in the second half. Evelio Gomez struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Nicasio Pacorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sorento FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Gomez in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicasio Pacorro saved Esperanza Maritima from getting behind. Nicasio Pacorro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Gomez in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute Roberto Valery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Pacorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Pacorro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Siro Sesuldo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 88 minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Esperanza Maritima's Isaias Larra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Isaias Larra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Esperanza Maritima protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Isaias Larra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Esperanza Maritima:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sorento FC:s goal. The referee gave Sorento FC a penalty, 94 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Siro Sesuldo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Esperanza Maritima's Nicasio Pacorro. 0-9. Alvaro Lauaxeta hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
