The referee showed Lucas Chepe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 3 minutes, Romulo Remir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esperanza Maritima's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Remir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th minute Atilano Distiratsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Domeka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Epifanio Clodio came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Diabolicos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Epifanio Clodio couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregorio Refugio during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Esperanza Maritima got a freekick which was hit by Gregorio Refugio. In the 21st minute, Joel Libertad made a precise shot to the right of Nicasio Pacorro. Esperanza Maritima's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 27 minutes, Froilan Aurken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diabolicos and the Esperanza Maritima players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Diabolicos! The referee gave Esperanza Maritima a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benigno Chico, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Diabolicos's Marco Domeka. 1-1. After some careless play in the Esperanza Maritima defense, Joel Libertad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicasio Pacorro. The Esperanza Maritima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicasio Pacorro should have stopped the shot. 1-3 became the score in the 36th minute when Epifanio Clodio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Epifanio Clodio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nicasio Pacorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Joel Libertad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Pacorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atilano Distiratsu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Nicasio Pacorro managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Diabolicos's Joel Libertad fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Epifanio Clodio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicasio Pacorro was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Diabolicos's Blas Ostots was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nicasio Pacorro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Atilano Distiratsu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Domeka having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joel Libertad got free with Nicasio Pacorro in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Diabolicos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodosio Quirce to maneuver through the defense. In the 94thth minute of the game Romulo Remir who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Diabolicos's Marco Domeka was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romulo Remir in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Domeka prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
