The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lobos de Carelia's Zeca Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Arnas in the 7th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobo Mark made a great header on Club Atletico Rio Tercero's corner, it was just that Lobos de Carelia's Marcelo Barovero managed to reach the ball for a save. Zeca Fernandez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvar Öberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Alvar Öberg came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Lobos de Carelia's Zeca Fernandez. But to his dismay, Zeca Fernandez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Geale van Dongen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Alvar Öberg made a huge save. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Costel Răducanu hit a great ball. Alvar Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeca Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of Club Atletico Rio Tercero booed when Lobos de Carelia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Nisio didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lobos de Carelia getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Adolfo Gombal hit a great ball. Lobos de Carelia's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Jerrald in the 34th minute of play. Amado Nisio kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Mark in the 36th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Rio Tercero's goal looked a bit too open when Zeca Fernandez came free, but Alvar Öberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Iraitz in the 41st minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacobo Mark made a kick off. Alvar Öberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeca Fernandez went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Mark in the 61st minute of the match. Club Atletico Rio Tercero's Jacobo Mark got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Flavio Jerrold hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute of the match, Jacobo Mark tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Barovero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Serafin Transito fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atletico Rio Tercero's protests and gave Serafin Transito a yellow card for diving instead. Alvar Öberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zeca Fernandez in the 81st minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hector Arnas sent off a good shot on target. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Mark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
