But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cadwaladr Beers couldn't finish the play. 6 minutes into the match, UWA Montgomery's Price Felton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Selyf Crocker narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cadwaladr Beers in the 8th minute of play forced Porthcawl FC's goalkeeper Selyf Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brastias Cockane during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brastias Cockane kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Cadwaladr Beers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Cadwaladr Beers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UWA Montgomery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cadwaladr Beers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Price Felton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Selyf Crocker was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Porthcawl FC's Brastias Cockane got a free kick in the 18th minute. UWA Montgomery's Price Felton got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute Cadwaladr Beers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Selyf Crocker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beli Goldthorpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryn Frisby having to interfere. UWA Montgomery's Bryn Frisby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beli Goldthorpe in the 30th minute of play. Selyf Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Price Felton in the 34th minute of the match. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bryn Frisby made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anir Campbell in the 48th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Beli Goldthorpe to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Evrei Flanders fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Porthcawl FC's protests and gave Evrei Flanders a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave UWA Montgomery a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pasgen Hogg, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Porthcawl FC's Selyf Crocker. 0-1. After 72 played minutes Price Felton rounded Porthcawl FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. If Anir Campbell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beli Goldthorpe in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryn Frisby saved UWA Montgomery from getting behind. In the 87th minute, Anir Campbell left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Porthcawl FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 93 minutes into the match, Porthcawl FC's goal looked a bit too open when Price Felton came free, but Selyf Crocker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Beli Goldthorpe came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Porthcawl FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beli Goldthorpe couldn't finish the play. The UWA Montgomery supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UWA Montgomery would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
