In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Miradeses FC's goalkeeper Peter Sparks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morris Zemp in the 33rd minute of play forced Sanguinhedo FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Miradeses FC's goalkeeper Peter Sparks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Üllar Noobel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Helder Manzanos in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter Sparks saved Miradeses FC from getting behind. After having played for 43 minutes, Üllar Noobel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanguinhedo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Üllar Noobel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute Helder Manzanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Sparks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Amadeu Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Gamus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Noel Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Arnulfo Gamus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Sparks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helder Manzanos in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Miradeses FC's goal looked a bit too open when Üllar Noobel came free, but Peter Sparks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Sanguinhedo FC's Helder Manzanos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Peter Sparks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Miradeses FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sanguinhedo FC.
