Bento Patrício kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Teves in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnulfo Gamus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helder Manzanos in the 22nd minute of play forced Safira Harammes's goalkeeper Sérgio Madruga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Bento Patrício hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basílio Mafra scored 1-1 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Gamus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronaldo Teves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnulfo Gamus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Safira Harammes's Ronaldo Teves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnulfo Gamus made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Arnulfo Gamus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Teves in the 32nd minute of play. Sanguinhedo FC's Arnulfo Gamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Teves in the 40th minute of play. Sérgio Madruga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helder Manzanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Teves to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Basílio Mafra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Arnulfo Gamus was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldo Teves scored 1-4 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Gamus, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnulfo Gamus made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Plácido Fidalgo sent off a good shot on target. Sérgio Madruga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Üllar Noobel in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 80th minute Safira Harammes were awarded a corner. André Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Safira Harammes getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ronaldo Teves hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Plácido Fidalgo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When André Prestes came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Safira Harammes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Prestes couldn't finish the play. Sérgio Madruga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helder Manzanos in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Safira Harammes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
