After a defensive mix-up in Wallington's zone, Gez Bull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricky Eagles came out of the goal and Gez Bull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gez Bull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gez Bull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricky Eagles having to interfere. Lance Hitchcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Ricky Eagles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gez Bull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Eagles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lance Hitchcock in the 31st minute of the match. Gez Bull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ricky Eagles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lance Hitchcock struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ricky Eagles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandra FC. Wallington's Ricky Eagles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Hitchcock in the 54th minute of play. Curtis Huxtable sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louie Hutchins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curtis Huxtable, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute Lance Hitchcock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Eagles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jasper Fitzsymon fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alexandra FC's protests and gave Jasper Fitzsymon a yellow card for diving instead. Lance Hitchcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Eddie Simms hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Gez Bull reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricky Eagles. The goal made the score 0-1. Alexandra FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
