Dublin Athlétic™'s Donavin McPeter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Séamus McOliver in the 34th minute of play. Donavin McPeter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Séamus McOliver's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Knockstopher's Felim Byrne got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When Colm Kirby fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dublin Athlétic™'s protests and gave Colm Kirby a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Knockstopher's Séamus McOliver ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Donavin McPeter. Donavin McPeter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Binne McLaughlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harrington McLaughlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Donall Ferguson fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The supporters of Knockstopher booed when Dublin Athlétic™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donall Ferguson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Binne McLaughlin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Donall Ferguson went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Donall Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Séamus McOliver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donavin McPeter was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Barran McBrandon received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donavin McPeter came out and tried to block the shot, but Barran McBrandon slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 84th minute. Colm Kirby got his second yellow card in the match during the 89th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Dublin Athlétic™:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Knockstopher:s goal. The goalkeeper, Donavin McPeter, was totally fooled by Knockstopher's Beartlai McSteve, who 91 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The audience was convinced that Felim Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donavin McPeter was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. If Harrington McLaughlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 99th minute of the match, Beartlai McSteve tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Donavin McPeter saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match was over Knockstopher could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dublin Athlétic™ throughout the match.
