Spectators: 7967 (Terracing: 5977, Seating: 1832, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dom Halliday started the match with the kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Jon Barnett in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FIVE Wizards's Brendon Parks. Luke Newlyn came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Knights of the Spring's Edward Biernat. But to his dismay, Edward Biernat quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luke Newlyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dom Halliday, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After some careless play in the Knights of the Spring defense, Carl May kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Russ Webster. The Knights of the Spring fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Russ Webster should have stopped the shot. 21 minutes into the match, Knights of the Spring's goalkeeper Russ Webster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl May. 28 minutes into the game, Knights of the Spring's Garth Stobbs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luke Newlyn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Micheal Goodman struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Luke Newlyn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knights of the Spring. After a rather tough play, FIVE Wizards's Frank Hughes-Guy got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FIVE Wizards's Howard Howard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Russ Webster. That made the score 2-2 after 40 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Howard Howard made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Biernat got free with Luke Newlyn in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the match, Edward Biernat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luke Newlyn, 2-3. Edward Biernat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luke Newlyn having to make a save. Brendon Parks kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Garry Middlewood hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FIVE Wizards's zone, Micheal Goodman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luke Newlyn came out of the goal and Micheal Goodman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luke Newlyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Micheal Goodman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Knights of the Spring left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FIVE Wizards.
