The supporters of Åhus booed when Halltorp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Simonsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 79th minute, one of Halltorp:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Halltorp. In the 85th minute Tata Puiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim Almqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Åhus's Tata Puiu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kim Almqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Tata Puiu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kim Almqvist was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
