Marcus Vestlund hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Edvin Alfors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Joakim Andersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute Joakim Andersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Gunnar Horpestad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patric Grönberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Grönberg in the 26th minute of play forced Edguy FC's goalkeeper Sten Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sten Tunander came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Arlöv RK's Edvin Alfors. But to his dismay, Edvin Alfors quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Peder Lindkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sten Tunander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Tim Näfver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Tunander having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Edvin Alfors managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arlöv RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvin Alfors was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes Arlöv RK got a freekick which was hit by Peder Lindkvist. In the 43rd minute, Tim Näfver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 46th minute Patric Grönberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uno Håkansson to make the kick off. Peder Lindkvist struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Sten Tunander didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arlöv RK. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Näfver got free with Sten Tunander in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joakim Andersson hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Joakim Andersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Ole-Gunnar Horpestad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Arlöv RK getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Folmar Kennild hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Uno Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edguy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Uno Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ole-Gunnar Horpestad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Edguy FC's Sten Tunander got control of the ball when Tim Näfver tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Joakim Andersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ole-Gunnar Horpestad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uno Håkansson in the 82nd minute of play. Ole-Gunnar Horpestad didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Uno Håkansson went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Edguy FC's Sten Tunander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Grönberg in the 86th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Tim Näfver took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Sten Tunander to make any attempt to save it.
