The supporters of Edane IFK booed when Skanderbeg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Damm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Edane IFK's Calle Hermansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filip Odman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jens-Erik Spetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack Damm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Måns Målares short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Jens-Erik Spetz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 16 minutes into the match, Edane IFK's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Damm came free, but Jens-Erik Spetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Hjortsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Odman having to interfere. After some careless play in the Skanderbeg defense, Torbjörn Hjortsberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Filip Odman. The Skanderbeg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Filip Odman should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Calle Hermansson in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filip Odman saved Skanderbeg from getting behind. Måns Målare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Jens-Erik Spetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes Edane IFK got a freekick which was hit by Calle Hermansson. 48 minutes into the match, Skanderbeg's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Hermansson came free, but Filip Odman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute Harald Landin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Erik Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Damm in the 56th minute of play forced Edane IFK's goalkeeper Jens-Erik Spetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Harry Bäckman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Skanderbeg getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Måns Målare hit a great ball. Torbjörn Hjortsberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Filip Odman made a huge save. Jack Damm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute Måns Målare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Erik Spetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Måns Målare blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jens-Erik Spetz having to make a save. Andy Söder hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Måns Målare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Edane IFK got a freekick which was hit by Harry Bäckman. In the 82nd minute, David Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jack Damm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
