An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Godholm in the 40th minute of play forced Vretarna Boys's goalkeeper Malte Lindblom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elof Olsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Ian Hellsing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vretarna Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Hellsing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vretarna Boys's Thomas Gummeson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin Burman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Kåre Rolandsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Ian Hellsing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Burman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Hellsing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elof Olsson struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Edwin Burman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vretarna Boys. The audience was convinced that Kåre Rolandsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Malte Lindblom was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Elof Olsson struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Edwin Burman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Kent Dalman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Köpmanholmen FK's Kent Dalman got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jens-Ove Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malte Lindblom having to interfere.
