After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Bror Palmquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vårgårda's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Palmquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Lundqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Torsten Markusson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal.
