Olimpiu Vulcănescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ola Jönsätt, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to RSC Öjaby getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jens-Ola Glad hit a great ball. Olimpiu Vulcănescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Holger Vallgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute of the match Hoting got a corner. RSC Öjaby's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Holger Vallgren ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bengt Kollberg was a little too slow when Kryspin Kilar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. Peder Björkkvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to RSC Öjaby getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Karl-Erik Holmberg hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Peder Björkkvist to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hoting's Arvid Ekberg got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Peder Björkkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Olimpiu Vulcănescu made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ola Jönsätt sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute, Timmy Bruse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Erik Holmberg kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. RSC Öjaby's Peder Björkkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Ola Jönsätt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olimpiu Vulcănescu was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. RSC Öjaby's Olimpiu Vulcănescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save RSC Öjaby from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Ola Jönsätt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Vulcănescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt Kollberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Björkkvist in the 89th minute of play. After 92nd play minutes Ola Jönsätt shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Olimpiu Vulcănescu and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 95th minute, Ola Jönsätt made a precise shot to the right of Olimpiu Vulcănescu. RSC Öjaby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.
