After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Magne Hellqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Älmhults IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Magne Hellqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Hultstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Åke Holmstedt made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Per-Oskar Albohm sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Älmhults IF booed when The Kop Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Carlsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of The Kop Boys booed when Älmhults IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Erik Wennerqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Calle Hökqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Kop Boys's Ingemar Hultstrand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Älmhults IF's goal looked a bit too open when Vilhelm Eliasson came free, but Jan-Åke Holmstedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Calle Hökqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingemar Hultstrand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Calle Hökqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. If Magne Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Älmhults IF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than The Kop Boys.
