In the 9th minute, Malmö Torpedos's Ingvar Vallin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niklas Sundling. Niklas Sundling yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Niklas Sundling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Vallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niklas Sundling made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ingvar Vallin sent off a good shot on target. After 16 played minutes Malmö Torpedos got a freekick which was hit by Bengt Lindholm. Pedro Odín took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Håkan Kullgren. Malmö Torpedos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Frank Tillman hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Karl Wästerberg put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Niklas Sundling. Håkan Kullgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Sagan in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Marek Sagan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The STHLM Miami United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dimitris Ifantis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl Wästerberg in the 37th minute of play forced STHLM Miami United's goalkeeper Niklas Sundling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute Marek Sagan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Kullgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marek Sagan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marek Sagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Håkan Kullgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marek Sagan made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marek Sagan got free with Håkan Kullgren in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dennis Almkvist hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in STHLM Miami United's zone, Karl Wästerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Sundling came out of the goal and Karl Wästerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the STHLM Miami United defense, Karl Wästerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niklas Sundling. The STHLM Miami United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Sundling should have stopped the shot. Johannes Larsson's late challenge caught a Malmö Torpedos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Larsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 75 minutes of play, Malmö Torpedos's Karl Wästerberg made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niklas Sundling was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Dimitris Ifantis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Dimitris Ifantis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 86 minutes, Björn Deckbergh mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malmö Torpedos and the STHLM Miami United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Bengt Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
