The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cyprian Czysty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dobromir Dziedelonis in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Ryszard Byczewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 26 minutes into the match, Gliwice's goal looked a bit too open when Szymon Jaszynski came free, but Szymon Wielgopolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Szymon Jaszynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Szymon Wielgopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szymon Jaszynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Gliwice players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Matełusz were winning 0-1.

Gliwice's Szymon Wielgopolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Szymon Jaszynski in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Gliwice getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Zachariasz Jankowski hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Szymon Jaszynski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Matełusz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szymon Jaszynski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Matełusz could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gliwice throughout the match.
