The Rycerze Ortalionu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zbyszek Trynda should have stopped the shot. Szczepan Galagan hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Zachary Leper could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Leon Napierkowski made a huge save. After the first half NeverEndingStory were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leszek Byczewski to make the kick off. Teobald Plech kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. Andrzej Penc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zbyszek Trynda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dariusz Bobrowski kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Rycerze Ortalionu's goalkeeper Zbyszek Trynda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrzej Penc. Zachary Leper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Leon Napierkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrzej Penc got free with Zbyszek Trynda in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, Rycerze Ortalionu's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Dziatkowicz came free, but Zbyszek Trynda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kajetan Cempa hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Leon Napierkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leszek Byczewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Rycerze Ortalionu's Zbyszek Trynda got control of the ball when Andrzej Penc tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in NeverEndingStory's zone, Zachary Leper stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Napierkowski came out of the goal and Zachary Leper tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Leszek Byczewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rycerze Ortalionu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leszek Byczewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The NeverEndingStory supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing NeverEndingStory would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
