Frode Blindheim hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 4th minute, Arild Salberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Noe Flaks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Kvalvåg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Frode Blindheim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leirpollen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frode Blindheim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Ola Schei notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Korssund's Conrado Arias. Conrado Arias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arild Salberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Conrado Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petter Henden in the 23rd minute of play. If Noe Flaks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Jostein Bergland dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ove Kvalvåg, 1-1. After 34 played minutes Korssund got a freekick which was hit by Roar Winther. With a little luck, Leirpollen's Ove Kvalvåg got control of the ball when Mario Grande tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute, Jostein Bergland made a precise shot to the right of Ove Kvalvåg. Leirpollen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Conrado Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frode Blindheim, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Ola Schei got free with Conrado Arias in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jostein Bergland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ola Schei kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Conrado Arias. That made the score 2-2 in the 61 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Jostein Bergland made a precise shot to the right of Ove Kvalvåg. Leirpollen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 74 minutes into the game, Korssund's Noe Flaks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Kvalvåg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 80th minute, Korssund's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Arild Salberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leirpollen's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Korssund had won, even though Leirpollen had held more of the ball.
