The supporters of Kåsmolia booed when Kongsli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Brenne didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Kåsmolia got a freekick which was hit by Kåre Breistein. Lenílson Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Muggerud in the 15th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Brenne couldn't finish the play. Kongsli's Subin Rangachev got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Nekstad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Björk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Kåsmolia's goalkeeper Lars Nekstad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Brenne. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Björk to strike the kick off in the second half. Kåre Breistein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Lenílson Cardozo made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tony Björk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kongsli's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Björk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Nekstad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Subin Rangachev in the 59th minute of play forced Kåsmolia's goalkeeper Lars Nekstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arty Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Cardozo having to interfere. After 76 minutes, Tony Björk made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Kåsmolia's Lars Nekstad tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 81st match minute, Kongsli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Brenne to maneuver through the defense. Kongsli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kåsmolia the free kick. Torjus Brustad kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Kongsli could leave the field as winners, despite Kåsmolia having more of the ball for most of the match.
