In the 3rd minute of the match, Mathis Marrec got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jarod Hatte was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joël Macon's late challenge caught a Arequipe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joël Macon helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arequipe booed when O.M was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joël Macon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Arequipe's Jarod Hatte got control of the ball when Mathis Marrec tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Camille Labbé came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Arequipe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camille Labbé couldn't finish the play. Jarod Hatte made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Mathis Marrec sent off a good shot on target. Bérenger Oudin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean-Marc Hayot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Camille Labbé cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bérenger Oudin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as O.M's Ewan Carrat slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jarod Hatte. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Jean-Marc Hayot managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arequipe's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean-Marc Hayot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bérenger Oudin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the match, Jean-Marc Hayot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bérenger Oudin. O.M's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean-Marc Hayot was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 39th minute, Ruben Hiriart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camille Labbé might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bérenger Oudin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camille Labbé ran back to his position shaking his head. If Camille Labbé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Camille Labbé to make the kick off. Jarod Hatte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathis Marrec in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes O.M got a freekick which was hit by Mathieu Augier. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind O.M's goalkeeper Bérenger Oudin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camille Labbé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bérenger Oudin having to interfere. Aziz Pincemins short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Bérenger Oudin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Camille Labbé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Mathis Marrec had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jarod Hatte. Arequipe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathis Marrec was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 72 minutes into the match, Jonas Cathelin notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Arequipe's Jarod Hatte. Jarod Hatte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Camille Labbé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bérenger Oudin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jean-Marc Hayot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 81 minute of play. Théodore Dequidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erwan Nectoux ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Camille Labbé got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 3-4. 99 minutes into the match. The O.M fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Arequipe were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
