Lothar Heim hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Manuel Igelbüscher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Arnold Bauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gero Partsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Padberg FSV defense, Stefan Breiffel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Bolle. The Padberg FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Bolle should have stopped the shot. Stefan Breiffel took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Bolle. Oliver Bolle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Stefan Breiffel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oliver Bolle having to make a save. Eckhard Zacher kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Zenobio Born struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Arnold Bauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Padberg FSV. The supporters of Padberg FSV booed when FC Bayern München was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wofgang Schelp didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gero Partsch came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the FC Bayern München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gero Partsch couldn't finish the play. Gero Partsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

If Zenobio Born had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Manuel Igelbüscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Bauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliver Bolle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Breiffel in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Florian Lasotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnold Bauer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Igelbüscher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Padberg FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Breiffel came free, but Oliver Bolle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bayern München's Stefan Breiffel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oliver Bolle. That made the score 0-3 after 76 minutes of play. In the 79th match minute, Padberg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eckhard Zacher to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Gero Partsch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern München's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gero Partsch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Igelbüscher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bayern München's zone, Manuel Igelbüscher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnold Bauer came out of the goal and Manuel Igelbüscher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Padberg FSV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Bayern München's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Bayern München.
