Delfim de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 played minutes Lehenwies got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Winheim. In the 27th minute, Stanislaus Haußmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Bier succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Sixten Graf struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Delfim de Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HSVHamburg. Benjamin Veth hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the game, Roberto Gail was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HSVHamburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lehenwies the free kick. The supporters of Lehenwies booed when HSVHamburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Gail didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faruk Winheim kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Sixten Graf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Zinédine Schlumberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimund Lamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lehenwies's Delfim de Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Lehenwies from getting a goal against them. Zinédine Schlumberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimund Lamp, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Roberto Gail tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Zinédine Schlumberger. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-5 in the 77th minute. Delfim de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Bier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zinédine Schlumberger came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Lehenwies's Raimund Lamp. But to his dismay, Raimund Lamp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Delfim de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Bier in the 90th minute of the match. Delfim de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sixten Graf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With 94 minutes on the clock, Helmar Schirrmacher commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 94 minutes into the game, one of Lehenwies:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. HSVHamburg's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
