Liviu Groșan came out of the goal and Cristinel Bologa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristinel Bologa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute Cezar Vanghelie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liviu Groșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Cezar Vanghelie made a precise shot to the right of Liviu Groșan. Victorious's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 16th minute, Cristinel Bologa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liviu Groșan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Sumugiu's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Rizea came free, but Corneliu Boieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iulian Zdrehuş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Liviu Groșan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cezar Vanghelie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Groșan having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Cezar Vanghelie rounded Victorious's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. Cristinel Bologa struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Liviu Groșan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumugiu. When Cristinel Bologa came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sumugiu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Bologa couldn't finish the play. Cezar Vanghelie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sumugiu's Cristinel Bologa got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Victorious's goalkeeper Liviu Groșan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bogdan Sorin. Liviu Groșan made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cezar Vanghelie sent off a good shot on target. Cezar Vanghelie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Liviu Groșan made a huge save. Corneliu Boieru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pompiliu Rizea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Cristinel Bologa rounded Victorious's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Cristinel Bologa made the kick off in the second half. Liviu Groșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Vanghelie in the 54th minute of the match. Sumugiu's Corneliu Boieru played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Muslea in the 57th minute of play. If Bogdan Sorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liviu Groșan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristinel Bologa went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Cezar Vanghelie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Groșan having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Bogdan Sorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corneliu Boieru acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ilie Terzian. After a rather tough play, Victorious's Cristinel Cutieru got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Bogdan Sorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Groșan having to interfere. Cezar Vanghelie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Corneliu Boieru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Macavei in the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Manole Ianculescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sumugiu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Victorious the free kick. Manole Ianculescu kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Pompiliu Rizea came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Victorious fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pompiliu Rizea couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Victorious's Ion Râznicu got a free kick in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Sumugiu were the better team. Sumugiu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
