With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorin Mudura in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moise Chinezu saved FC Leresti from getting behind. A collision led to FC Leresti getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Panait Zberea hit a great ball. Ciprian Armanca kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. FC Girdoaia's Florin Călinescu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 25th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Moise Chinezu but with some difficulty. When FC Girdoaia's Dorin Mudura in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Leresti's goalie prevented a goal. Ciprian Armanca charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Vlad Ciupes short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Moise Chinezu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Moise Chinezu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Mudura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cezar Anton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Adrian Sântimbrean fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Girdoaia's protests and gave Adrian Sântimbrean a yellow card for diving instead. After 45 played minutes FC Girdoaia got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Sântimbrean. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorin Mudura made a kick off. Moise Chinezu came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Girdoaia's Dorin Mudura. But to his dismay, Dorin Mudura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Moise Chinezu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorin Mudura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viorel Alexandroae might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Jugănaru. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Viorel Alexandroae ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the match, Viorel Alexandroae notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Girdoaia's Daniel Jugănaru. Daniel Jugănaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dorin Mudura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Moise Chinezu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vlad Ciupe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moise Chinezu having to interfere. Viorel Alexandroae took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Jugănaru. Daniel Jugănaru dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Mudura in the 92nd minute of play forced FC Leresti's goalkeeper Moise Chinezu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, one of FC Girdoaia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. FC Leresti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
